Jan Meeks recently relocated from Austin to the small town of Harwood, Texas where she and her partner, stained glass artist Hal Shipley, built their new studio. She studied art at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Jan is primarily a glass artist using fusing techniques. Her line includes unique gift items such as wind chimes, fused window hangings, jewelry, and more. Since early 1993, she has been successfully selling her wares; and currently, her work can be found in select galleries, gift stores, and shows. In addition to Windfalls, she is an instructor with both Marbridge Foundation and VSA Arts of Texas.
